For this project one of the main genres I chose is making a video. I plan on using creativity to further the message of my project. The idea is that by being creative i am better able to capture the audience's attention, and get my message across. For the rhetorical appeal I am going to use pathos. I plan on using music, suspense and curiosity to support the message i am trying to convey. The audience from this project is different from the one from my research paper. On my research paper I used a lot of big words and it was very informational. On this video, I plan on adding a little bit less information, but more analysis and thought. I will try to appeal to people's curiosity and desire to explore, instead of overwhelming them with too much information. One alternate genre I could do is an Instagram page. According to the BBG, in summary, first I has to introduce my project and provide context. I need to give them context so I can make sure they can understand my topic, and get my message. I will do this with my video, there I will explain and provide context. Then it talks about sequencing your genres in order. The order should be set so one genre prepares the audience for the other. So on the video will prepare my audience for what comes next, which is the Instagram posts and the Twitter account. The next step is to choose a title for my project. It should be a title that calls people attention and that sounds provocative and interesting to the audience. Then, the next step is to create an author statement. I am not really sure what that means. And finally, the last step is to package the project creatively. The goal is to make it so that the delivery of the project has an impact on the audience.
